Welcome from the Chair

Dear Colleagues,

It is my pleasure to invite you to join the 1st International Electronic Conference on Digestive Diseases Diagnostics (DDD 2021) that will be hosted online by sciforum.net.

This is the first international electronic conference on Digestive Disease Diagnostics (DDD 2021). COVID-19 has influenced our research and clinical care in medical activities, and a new trend has emerged for conferences to be held over the internet. It has become possible to share knowledge, new information, and skills all over the world more easily than the conventional style of conferences. As we cannot go abroad to join conferences, this online medium will provide the chance to publish your work on DDD. This conference has 5 selected sections, Gastroenterology, Pediatric GI, Liver, Pancreas, and Biliary. Each section chair provided specific topics for this conference. Basically, this conference is focused on the diagnosis of digestive diseases. We expect work exploring the new modality, strategy, and effectiveness of various methods of diagnosis. Early cancer detection or screening programs, and various images including endoscopy are also of interest. We want to collect various methods of diagnosis, and to share new, valuable information with the participants.

DDD 2021 seeks to fulfill this need by offering a completely digital (online) method for running a scientific conference. DDD 2021 will allow its participants to share their latest research results and receive near-instantaneous feedback from researchers throughout the world, through online question and answer sessions and discussion groups. In this way, DDD 2021 will serve as a platform to advance the state-of-the-art in digestive diseases diagnostics. There is no cost to participate in DDD 2021.

All submitted abstracts will be evaluated by the conference committee. Upon acceptance of their abstract, authors will contribute an extended abstract for the conference proceedings and a slide presentation of their work. The authors of the most outstanding contributions will be invited to submit a full manuscript for potential publication in Diagnostics.

I hope you will choose to be a part of this exciting conference and present your most transformative research on digestive diseases diagnostics.

Sincerely,

Prof. Dr. Hiroyuki Isayama

Instructions for Authors

Submission

Submission should be completed online by authors by registering with https://sciforum.net/ and using the “Start New Submission” function once logged into system.

  1. Scholars interested in participating in the conference can submit their abstract (about 200–300 words) online at this website until 15 November 2020.
  2. Based on the submitted abstract, the Section Chair or Conference Committee will conduct a pre-evaluation of whether a contribution from the authors of the abstract will be welcome for the 1st International Electronic Conference on Digestive Diseases Diagnostics. All authors will be notified by 25 November 2020 about the acceptance of their abstract.
  3. If the abstract is accepted for this conference, the author will be invited to prepare a full description of their work (max. 8 pages), optionally accompanied by a PowerPoint presentation/poster, until the submission deadline of 20 December 2020.
  4. The conference proceedings papers and presentations will be available for discussion on https://sciforum.net/ during the time of the conference 15–31 January 2021 and will be published in the journal Proceedings.
  5. After the conference, the Conference Committee will select abstracts for which extended papers may be included for publication in the journal Diagnostics (the submission to the journal is independent from the conference proceedings and will follow the usual process of the journal, including peer review and application of an APC).
